About Jory Dayne

largeportMy name is Jory Dayne. I’m an illustrator an graphic designer; living in the Joaquin area in Provo, and working up in Orem. I got introduced to the mid-century style via illustrations from the era… and quickly became infatuated by just about everything else from the period.

My love for modern design, however, has been building since I was in high school. When a lot of the other guys had sports or band posters on their wall… I had a print of Wilhelm Wagenfeld’s iconic Bauhaus Lamp, that I picked up while on a trip to Weimar. So yeah… huge nerd.

When I’m not working I am usually drawing, reading, and riding my bike — but not at the same time, people, be reasonable. Another thing I like to do is learn languages. I speak German and Marshallese pretty fluently, and am learning French. I’ve flirted with a few others. I really like traveling, going to concerts, and cooking. Some things that I am pretty into are eating locally, green-living, and the sea.

I have a miniature Dachshund named Hexl, who is alternately the love of my life and/or the bane of my existence.
